ABOUT ME

My name is Genevieve Morgan.

I am a conditionally Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC-c) located in Portland, Maine. I offer mental health diagnosis, treatment, psychotherapy, and counseling for individuals, couples, and families at my downtown office or via telehealth.

My areas of competency include life-stage transitions, relationships, high-demand group influences, school and career issues, major medical diagnosis, grief, anxiety, depression, and difficulties within family systems. I am also trained to diagnose psychiatric disorders and offer treatment plans.

 I am experienced in a range of therapeutic interventions, but am committed to helping clients identify unhelpful patterns and unconscious drives that are at the root of long-term unwanted behavior, anxiety, and despair via deeper analysis.

 I was an author and editor for over 20 years, and have specialized skills in treating creative blocks and using trauma-informed expressive arts therapy, which can become a part of treatment if desired. I work regularly with a clinical supervisor and am consistently expanding my training to keep up to date with the most current methods.
